Abovyan mayoral elections: Nomination of candidates begins today

The nomination of candidates for the mayoral elections in Abovyan city, Kotayk province, begins today and will last until May 17. The registration of candidates will be held from May 17-19 and the election campaign will start on May 26 and will conclude on June 5.  

Former Mayor of Abovyan, Karapet Guloyan, has been appointed Governor of Kotayk region. He is the son-in-law of former chairman of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan.

The elections will be held on June 7.
