Haykakan Zhamanak: RPA, ARFD in talks over coalition

The Republican Party of Armenia and ARF Dashnaktsutyun are conducting backstage talks over formation of a coalition, Haykakan Zhamanak reports, citing its sources.

According to the newspaper, if President Serzh Sargsyan decides on a switch to parliamentary system of government, it will remove the obstacle for ARFD’s joining the coalition.

As regards the technical aspect, the newspaper says that they are discussing the so-called “hidden coalition,” which implies that there will be no formal coalition, but ARFD will be given some posts.
