Azerbaijan continues to hide casualties: MOD of NKR releases names of dead Azerbaijani soldiers

The Azerbaijani side continued to violate intensively the ceasefire on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan on September 28 and the night of September 29, the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic said. During the indicated period Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire about 110 times. Azerbaijani frontline units fired at Armenian positions over 1,600 shots by using small arms of various calibers, 60 mm (76 shells), 82mm (31 shells) and 120mm (5 shells) mortars and AGS-17 grenade launchers (15 shells). In addition to the abovementioned weapons, Azerbaijani side used Turkish-manufactured TR-107 grenade launcher (11 shells) in the same period. The frontline units of NNKR Defense Army confidently perform their combat tasks and resort to punitive measures if necessary, the statement notes. The press service of NKR’s Defense Ministry also said: “Information spread yesterday, on September 28, by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that 7 Armenian servicemen and 3 Azerbaijani ones were allegedly killed in a clash on the Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact is not true, as we already said, but it is a usual attempt by official Baku to impute the real number of own losses to the Karabakh side”. Defense Ministry of NKR reports, citing the respective services, that in addition to the casualties reported yesterday, another 6 soldiers of the Azerbaijani army were killed on September 28: Shakhiar Uyadov, Eyub Ramazanov, Nijat Yarayev, Ahmed Eyubov, Elvin Yusufov, and Samir Ahmedov. “This shows that defense ministry of Azerbaijan continues to hide its real losses so as to mislead the Azerbaijani public and conceal the setbacks of its criminal strategy”.
