Chief of Armenian police: I voted in constitutional referendum in the name of progress

I voted in the name of progress,” Chief of the Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan told reporters today after he cast his ballot at 9/14 polling station in Yerevan.

When asked by reporters to comment on the statement of Founding Parliament civic initiative’s coordinator  Zhirayr Sefilyan that today is a disobedience day, Vladimir Gasparyan said:  “Everything should be within legal boundaries. Any violation of the law will be punished promptly and severely”. 

Voting in the national referendum on the constitutional amendments started at 1,997 polling stations across Armenia at 8:00 am on Sunday, December 6. Voting will end at 8:00 pm Yerevan time.
