Issues related to rights of mentally ill people discussed

Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan discussed issues related to mental health with members of Armenian Psychiatric Association, the Ombudsman’s administration reports.

The discussion highlighted the rights of mentally ill, as well as issues concerning the implementation of psychological and psychiatric services.

President of the Armenian Psychiatric Association presented the problems in the field of psychology and mental health.

Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan stressed the importance of cooperation and ensured that established constructive relationship will largely contribute to the implementation of joint projects aimed at legislative regulations of the field.

Such discussions will be organized regularly. Joint projects directed at raising public awareness, improving the professional skills of the personnel are planned.
