Weightlifter Samvel Gasparyan comes fourth at World Championship

The member of the youth weightlifting team of Armenian, Samvel Gasparyan, has come fourth at the Junior World Championship, ANOC press service reports.

According to the source, at the Junior World Weightlifting Championships ongoing in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, Armenia’s Samvel Gasparyan placed fourth with a total of 359kg.

In the snatch, Gasparyan lifted 160kg, in the clean and jerk – 199kg. Uzbek Farhabek Sobirov became the world champion in this weight class.
