European Parliament votes for visa-free regime for Ukraine, Georgia and Kosovo

Members of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs voted today in support of a visa-free regime for short trips in the Member States of the European Union for citizens of Ukraine, Georgia and the breakaway Republic of Kosovo, TASS reports.

“The committee members believe that these countries have made significant progress in implementing the goals set out within the framework of the requirements for the abolition of visas,” the statement reads.
The Committee on Civil Liberties will issue their opinion on the matter. If the committee agrees then visa exemption will be approved.
