129th IOC session kicks off in Rio de Janeiro

Before the start of the 31st Summer Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee is holding its 129th session during which it will discuss the inclusion of new sports in the 2020 Olympic Games and will elect new members of the Executive Committee, ANOC  press service reports.

According to the source, five new sports can be included in the 2020 Olympics such as karate, surfing, rock climbing, skateboard and baseball. According to the preliminary information, a collection of 18 pairs of medals will be raffled for the mentioned sports.

The 129th session of the International Olympic Committee has kicked off on August 1 and will end on August 4.
