Russia ready to consider South Korean proposal on Eurasian Integration, Putin says

Russia is ready to consider the proposal of South Korea concerning the development of Eurasian integration, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Saturday, according to Sputnik agency.

Earlier in the day, South Korean President Park Geun-hye said that South Korea could reach an agreement on free trade with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

"The Korean partners confirmed their interest in creation of a free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union. We are ready to jointly consider merger of our integration plans and ideas of Madam President within the framework of her Eurasian initiative," Putin said, as quoted by the source.

The Russian leader and South Korean President Park Geun-hye held talks at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok earlier in the day.
