539 cases of poisoning from drugs, medicinal and biological substances registered in Armenia

In January-November 2016 539 cases of poisoning from drugs, medicinal and biological substances were registered in Armenia.

According to the data provided by the RA National Statistical Service 319 cases of poisoning have been registered among women, 262 cases among the people under 18 years, particularly 106 cases have been observed among children aged 0-2 years and 102 cases among children aged 3-6 years.

A total of 130 cases of poisoning from drugs, medicinal and biological substances have been recorded in rural communities.

As for the cases of poisoning from non-medical substances 542 cases were registered in January-November 2016, out of which 484 cases were observed among people under 18 years.

30 cases of food poisoning caused by bacteria were registered in Armenia in the above mentioned period.
