Aeroflot Open: Round 8 over

Round 8 of Aeroflot Open took place yesterday in Moscow. In Group A Tigran Harutyunian and Haik Martirosyan faced each other. The game ended with Harutyunian’s victory. Manuel Petrosyan ended his game in a draw and Sergei Movsesian lost his game.

Vladimir Fedoseev of Russia remains the sole leader of the tournament: he got 6.5 points. The leader is closely trailed by Nikita Vitiugov and Evgeny Najer, chessfed.am reports.

Sergei Movsesian has 4 points, Manuel Petrosyan and Tigran Harutyunian scored 3.5 points each and Haik Martirosyan has got 2.5 points.

In Group B Aram Hakobyan and Tigran Kotanhyan got 5.5  points each and are closely trailing the six leaders of the tournament.

In Group C Artur Gharagyozyan scored 5 points. The leader of the tournament is Bazeev German of Russia with 7 points.
