Sinquefield Cup 2017: Levon Aronian to face Ian Nepomniachtchi in first round

Armenian GM Levon Aronian is set to take part in the Sinquefield Cup 2017 chess tournament, which kicks off at Saint Louis city of the U.S. on Wednesday.

As the Chess Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am, the tournament features 10 of the strongest chess players in the world – Levon Aronian (Armenia), Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Wesley So (USA), Fabiano Caruana (USA), Hikaru Nakamura (USA), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), Viswanathan Anand (India), Sergey Karjakin (Russia), Peter Svidler (Russia) and Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia).

Aronian will face Ian Nepomniachtchi from Russia in the first round scheduled on Wednesday.
