In the first semester 2017, a total of 3 794.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was produced in Armenia, increasing by 5.2% to compare with the same period of the previous year, as reported by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to the NSS data, in January-June, the electricity generation at terminal power plants rose by 71%, amounting to 1 438.3 million kilowatt-hours.
Electricity production volumes at hydropower plants increased by 25.1%, totaling to 64.2 million kilowatt-hours.
In the mentioned period, Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant produced 1 215.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is 25.4% decline to compare with the data of the previous year.
