Mine collapse kills one worker in northern Armenia

One worker was killed after an underground mine collapsed in northern Armenian province.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency situations, the mine is operated by Akhtala Mining and Processing Enterprise CJSC in Armenia’s Lori Province.

The source added a special mountainous rescue team has been dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers have carried out cleaning and reinforcement of the mine hole.
