Electricity production rises in Armenia in nine months

A total of  5 745.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was produced in Armenia in January-September 2017, showing 6,5% rise to compare with the same period of the previous year, as reported by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS).

According to the NSS statistics, in January- September, the electricity generation at terminal power plants rose by 54%, amounting to 2 051.7 million kilowatt-hours.

Electricity production volumes at hydropower plants cut down by 1.8%, totaling to 1 823.3 million kilowatt-hours.

In the mentioned period, Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant produced 1 868.9 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
