Box with a fake explosive found under Chrisman tree at Polytechnic University in Yerevan

Armenia’s ministry of emergency situations (MES) said Monday a suspicious box was found under the Christmas tree in front of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia that has been confirmed to be a " fake explosive". As the ministry reported, the alert was received at 10:32 a.m. with a fire brigade and emergency response group dispatching to the scene. As confirmed, they have removed it.

 

“According to preliminary data, the box contained a fake explosive and two bottles of unidentified liquid,” the Head of press department at the ministry Nana Gndoyan told Panorama.am, adding authorities will release more information during the day.
