Delegation of Moody's rating agency visiting Armenia

Armenia may become an electricity hub for Iran, Georgia, and later for Russia after the construction of Armenia-Georgia high-voltage power transmission and its connection to the Armenia-Iran line, Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan stated today at a meeting with delegation members of Moody's international rating agency, led by Moody's Vice President Martin Petch.

The delegation is on trip to Armenia to conduct the regular assessment of the country's sovereign rating, the ministry reported in a release.

During the meeting the minister spoke about the activities in the sphere of mining industry, specifically the digitization of the country's geological fund, and the information accessibility on electronic platforms, programs aimed at management of small mining sites as well as legislative improvements, policy priorities in the sphere.  

Minister Manukyan reflected on the projects implemented in renewable energy sector, the construction of Shnogh HPP and Industrial scale Masrik-1 solar photovoltaic program among them.
