Soap production on the rise in Armenia

Soap production volumes grew by 32.9 % in Armenia in January-May 2018. According to the figures released by the National Statistical Service (NSS) of Armenia, some 156.6 tons of soap were produced in the country in the indicated period. The volumes produced during the same period last year stood at 117.8 tones.

The production of washing, cleansing and starching agents declined by 1.4% this year. Namely, a total of 1,327.0 tons of detergents, washing and starching agents were produced in the first five months of 2018 against 1,346.3 tons produced in the same period of 2017.
