Simon Martirosyan becomes European champion in Poland

Simon Martirosyan, member of the Armenian weightlifting team named European weightlifting champion at the 2018 Junior&U23 Weightlifting Championships underway in Zamosc, Poland.

Martirosyan competed in the +105 kg weight category, the National Olympic Committee reported. The Armenian athlete lifted 190kg at the snatch and 230kg at the at the clean and jerk, winning.
With a combined weight of 420kg, the Armenian was named European Champion.
