Mother, son brutally stabbed to death in Armenian town

A mother and her son have been brutally murdered in the town of Berd in Armenia’s Tavush Province.

Police officers discovered their bodies in their house while responding to an anonymous report.

Police said the mother and son died after suffering stab wounds somewhere between 9:30pm Sunday and 10:30am Monday.

A forensic medical examination has been commissioned. An investigation is underway.

No other details were immediately clear.
