Some roads hardly passable in Armenia

Some highways are difficult to pass in the territory of Armenia as of 8am Saturday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Panorama.am.

Vardenyats Pass is closed for all types of vehicles, while Sotk-Karvachar highway is difficult to pass.

The Keti turns, Alagyaz-Artik, Aparan-Aragats, Aparan-Kuchak, Lanjik-Mastara, Gyumri-Vardablur-Ashotsk, Goris-Kapan and Meghri-Kajaran roadways are partly covered with black ice.

Drivers are strictly recommended to drive to regions exceptionally on winter tires.

According to the Emergency Situations Agency of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is shut down for all types of vehicles.

The General Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia reports stuck vehicles on the Russian side.
