Armenia’s president congratulates Mkhitaryan on birthday

President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian has congratulated Armenian national football team and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan on his 30th birthday anniversary celebrated on 21 January.

In a telephone conversation with Mkhitaryan, Sarkissian wished the Armenian international ‘robust health and success’, his office said.

The president also inquired about the process of Mkhitaryan’s recovery from a food injury he suffered last month, expressing the hope he will get back to the pitch soon and will once again give joy to the football fans.

A long-time fan of Arsenal, Sarkissian said he hopes to have a chance to attend one of Mkhitaryan’s matches in the near future.
