Aronian retains spot on latest FIDE ratings

Armenian GM Levon Aronian retained the 10th place with a score of 2767 on the latest World Chess Federation (FIDE) ratings unveiled on Thursday.

Armenian GMs Gabriel Sargissian ranks 53rd and Hrant Melkumyan comes 91st on the list, the Armenian National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am.

With 2845 points, Magnus Carlsen is still leading the list of strongest chess players of the world, followed by American Fabiano Caruana (2828) and Ding Liren of China (2812).
