Snow hits some roads in Armenia

Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports snowfalls on the roads of Goris, Meghri and Sisian regions as of 10am Friday, 8 March. 

The Gavar roads and Artik-Alagyaz highway are partly covered with black ice. Snowstorm hit Artik-Alagyaz highway.

Vardenyats Pass is shut down for cargo and trailer trucks and difficult to pass for passenger vehicles.

Road clearing operations are underway, the ministry said, adding all the other interstate and republican highways in the country are open for traffic.
