Diplomats of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia on Tuesday visited Davit Grigoryan, an ethnic Armenian citizen of Georgia injured in violent Tbilisi clashes overnight 20-21 June.
The doctors treating Grigoryan said he is in a stable condition and is expected to be moved to a ward from the intensive care unit today or tomorrow, the embassy told Panorama.am.
“The embassy is in constant contact with the doctors and will issue more statements about Davit Grigoryan’s health,” it said.
Hundreds of people, both protesters and police officers, were injured in the clashes, some of them seriously, as demonstrators pushed against lines of riot police, threw bottles and stones, and grabbed riot shields, drawing a tough response. They had been protesting over a visit to the parliament by a Russian lawmaker.
