Cigarette production grows in Armenia

Armenia saw an increase in tobacco production in the first half of 2019, the latest official statistics show.

The country produced a total of 14,754,000 units of cigarettes from January to June, up by 6.8% from the same period of 2018, when the output stood at 13,812,600 units, the Statistical Committee of Armenia revealed.

As a result of the increase, the cigarette production share in Armenia’s process industry made up 28.8% this year.
