Coronavirus: Armenia reports 460 new cases on May 29

Armenia has confirmed 460 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total number of cases to 8,676 in the country as of 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, the Ministry of Health reports.

10 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 3,297.

The Covid-19 fatalities have grown by 7 to 120. The latest victims were 72 (male), 42 (female), 59 (male), 66 (male), 65 (female), 64 (male) and 56 (female) years old. Except for the last patient, all had underlying chronic health conditions, the ministry said.

In addition, one case of death was recorded on Thursday when the patient had tested positive for COVID-19, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 45.

The number of active cases is 5,214.

As many as 56,042 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
