Armenia reports 291 new coronavirus cases, 11 more deaths on August 1

Armenia has confirmed 291 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 38,841 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, the Ministry of Health reports.

560 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 29,557.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 11 to 749.

The latest victims were 83 (male), 79 (male), 68 (male), 60 (female), 80 (female), 69 (female), 73 (female), 54 (male), 81 (female), 73 (male) and 41 (male) years old. Except for the last one, all had underlying chronic health conditions.

The number of active cases is 8,307.

As many as 165,656 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
