Confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia reach 40,433 on August 10

Armenia has confirmed 23 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 40,433 as of 11 a.m. Monday, August 10, the Ministry of Health reports.

96 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 32,616.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 5 to 796.

The latest victims were 82 (female), 73 (female), 67 (male), 85 (female) and 81 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions.

The number of active cases is 6,793.

As many as 176,354 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
