Coronavirus updates: 181 new cases, six deaths recorded in Armenia on August 28

Armenia has confirmed 181 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 43,451 as of 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, the Ministry of Health reports.

276 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 37,264. The coronavirus death toll has increased by six to 1,135 - 266 of whom diagnosed positive for coronavirus but the cause of the death was another disease.

The latest victims were 53 (female), 55 (female), 65 (male),65 (female) and 72 (female) years-old and all had underlying chronic health conditions. The number of active cases is 5,052.

As many as 202,253 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
