Armenia reports 199 new coronavirus cases on September 9

Armenia has confirmed 199 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 45,152 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, the Ministry of Health reports.

431 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 41,023.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 2 to 905. The latest victims were 89 (female) and 79 (male) years old and both had underlying chronic health conditions.

In addition, according to the ministry, 3 cases of death were recorded in the past 24 hours when the patients tested positive for the virus, but the cause of death was another disease. The total of such cases is 279.

The number of active cases is 2,945.

As many as 224,559 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
