Armenia reports 532 new coronavirus cases on October 2

Armenia has confirmed 532 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 51,382 as of 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, the Ministry of Health reports.

187 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 44,406.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by three to 966. The latest victims were 69 (male), 102 (male) and 66 (female) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions. Three others carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 5,709. As many as 300,224 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak, the source said.
