Armenia reports 406 new coronavirus cases on October 6

Armenia has confirmed 406 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 53,083 as of 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, the Ministry of Health reports.

222 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 44,932.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 6 to 990. The latest victims were 63 (female), 75 (female), 85 (male), 69 (male), 68 (male) and 53 (female) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions.

The number of active cases is 6,859. As many as 309,945 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak, the ministry said.
