Ombudsman: Where is UN when Artsakh civilians are killed and suffering by Azerbaijani aggression?
“How to understand that the UN and UNICEF reps make selective posts on the war effects? Where is UN when Artsakh civilians are killed and suffering by the Azerbaijani aggression? No visit, no word, no help,” Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Human Rights Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan said in a tweet on Thursday, sharing the posts of the UN and UNICEF representatives to Azerbaijan on Ganja.
“Sorrying for all tragedies, I demand human rights true universality by UN,” he said in another tweet, stressing that Azerbaijan started the war and war crimes against Artsakh also due to international neglect to Artsakh people’s rights, including by UN.
“Isolated people are more vulnerable and need more attention, but the reality is the contrary. UN must be fair, must monitor human rights in Karabakh, say the truth and support people,” the ombudsman wrote.
