Armenia reports record 1,694 new coronavirus cases on October 18

Armenia has reported a new record one-day increase in coronavirus infections, with the total rising by 1,694 to 64,694  as of 11 a.m. Sunday, October 18.

As the Health Ministry reports, 179 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 48,104.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 16 to 1,081. The latest victims were 65 (female), 71(female), 59 (female), 64 (male), 68 (male), 66 (male), 71 (female), 81 (female), 89 (male), 72 (male), 68 (female), 67 (male), 46 (male) and 81 (male) years old. Except the last, all had underlying chronic health conditions.

The number of active cases is 15,193. As many as 348,149 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
