Armenia reports record 2,474 new coronavirus cases on October 23

Armenia has reported a new record single-day increase in coronavirus infections, with the total rising by 2,474 to 73,310 as of 11 a.m. Friday, October 23.

As the Health Ministry reports, 489 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 50,276.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 14 to 1,145. The latest victims were 67 (male), 58 (female), 57 (male), 83 (male), 77 (female), 74 (female), 87 (female), 66 (male), 69 (female), 61 (male), 72 (male), 72 (female), 96 (male) and 74 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions. Two other patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 21,560. As many as 368,053 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
