Legendary commander Karen Jalavyan celebrates birthday today

Legendary commander of the Artsakh army Karen Jalavyan, better known as Kyokh, celebrates his birthday today, January 25, former Artsakh Security Council chief, Lieutenant-General Arshavir Gharamyan said in a Facebook post, extending birthday greetings to him.

“The history of the Armenian people shows that we had to constantly struggle for our existence. In the course of this centuries-old struggle, we recognized such Armenians who, being endowed with exceptional military talent, brought the enemy to their knees ...

“Today is the birthday of one of those Armenians – Colonel of the Artsakh Defense Army Karen Jalavyan. Karen is one of the commanders who has built a brilliant combat career.

“In addition to his commanding talent, Karen is a caring and honest person, as witnessed by the personnel working with him every day,” Gharamyan wrote.

“Happy birthday, Karen! I am sure that it is your innate talent as a military man, among other things, that restrains the enemy from resorting to adventurism full of disastrous consequences for them. I wish you good health and lasting peace for the Armenian nation,” he said.

Incidentally, Karen Jalavyan was awarded the title of Hero of Artsakh in October 2020.
