Armenia reports 479 fresh coronavirus cases on April 5

Armenia has confirmed 479 new cases of coronavirus in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 197,113 as of 11 a.m. Monday, April 5, the Ministry of Health reports.

880 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 176,889.

The COVID-19 death toll has increased by 22 to 3,614. The figure does not include the deaths of 923 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

The number of active cases is 15,687. As many as 876,820 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
