Armenia’s coronavirus tally reaches 216,596 on May 1

Armenia has confirmed 532 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 216,596 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, the Ministry of Health reports.

980 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 199,115.

The COVID-19 death toll has increased by 20 to 4,128. The figure does not include the deaths of 1,020 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

The number of active cases is 12,333. As many as 988,086 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
