Armenia reports 493 new coronavirus cases, 13 more deaths on May 5

Armenia has confirmed 493 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 217,900 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, the Ministry of Health reports.

452 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 201,559.

The COVID-19 death toll has increased by 13 to 4,178. The figure does not include the deaths of 1,029 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

The number of active cases is 11,134. As many as 1,000,909 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
