Armenia reports 212 new coronavirus cases, 17 deaths on May 18

Armenia has confirmed 212 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 221,139 as of 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, the Ministry of Health reports.

323 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 209,222.

The COVID-19 death toll has increased by 17 to 4,346. The figure does not include the deaths of 1,064 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

Armenia now has 6,507 active cases. As many as 1,042,821 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
