Armenia’s daily coronavirus cases rise by 229 on May 19

Armenia has confirmed 229 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 221,368 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, the Ministry of Health reports.

286 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 209,508.

The COVID-19 death toll has increased by 11 to 4,357. The figure does not include the deaths of 1,067 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

Armenia now has 6,436 active cases. As many as 1,046,412 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
