Armenian soldier found dead at military unit

An Armenian private soldier was found dead at one of the military units on Tuesday afternoon, the Defense Ministry reported.

The deceased, identified as Mher Hovhannisyan (born in 2001), had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

A probe is underway.

The Defense Ministry shares the heavy grief of the loss and expresses its support to Hovhannisyan’s family, friends and fellow servicemen.
