Armenian Defense Ministry denies Azerbaijani claims

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia reacted on Wednesday to accusations of the Azerbaijan side, alleging the Armenian side had shelled the combat positions of the Azerbaijani forces on May 24-26 .

"It is obvious that the statement of the Azerbaijani side appears to be a miserable attempt to cover up the provocations against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia in the recent days and the fact of killing  junior sergeant Gevorg Khurshudyan on May 25," the statement released on May 26 said. 

To remind, the Azerbaijani side also claimed that Armenian forces shelled Azerbaijani positions in Shushi, Artsakh. To note, the Russian contingent carrying out peacekeeping mission in Artsakh reported no ceasefire violations on the ground.
