Zhirayr Poghosyan released from post of the Commander of the 1st Army Corps

Armenia's President Armen Sarkissian has signed a decree to dismiss Zhirayr Poghosyan as commander of the 1st Army Corps.

"In accordance with Article 133 (Part 1) of the Constitution and Article 40 (Part 1, Clause 11) of the law “On Military Service and Status of Servicemen”, Commander of the 1st Army Corps Zhirayr Poghosyan is relieved of his post," reads the decree signed on Friday.
