Soap production grows in Armenia in first half of 2021

Armenia saw an increase in soap production in the first half of 2021, the latest official statistics show.

The country manufactured 380.2 tons of soap from January to June this year, up 17.7% from the same period of 2020 when the soap output stood at 323 tons, the Statistical Committee of Armenia reported.

Meanwhile, the manufacture of detergents and starching agents rose by 37.9% to 2,866.7 tons this year from last year’s 2,078.9 tons.
