Armenian Ambassador to Vietnam met with members of VUFO and VAFA

In the framework of the events dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vahram Kazhoyan had an online meeting with the Members of The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations - VUFO) and (Vietnam-Armenia Friendship Association -VAFA), on September 20, 2021, the Embassy reported.

During the meeting, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vahram Kazhoyan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Giang, Deputy Director General of Europe Department of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam-Armenia Friendship Association addressed the participants of the online event.

Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia Aramazd Muradyan and the staff of the Embassy participated in the meeting.

In his remarks the Ambassador stressed that in order to strengthen the people to people ties, it is necessary to promote and develop those relations which are directly involving lives of people, such as, tourism, culture, education.

"The Embassy of Armenia had reached preliminary arrangements, prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19, for reciprocal visits by representatives of Armenian and Vietnamese travel companies and agencies to explore the two countries' sights and tourism capabilities, and promote tourism cooperation. The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia, had also been discussing the possibility of the opening of direct flights between Yerevan and Hanoi with the Vietnamese side, which in its turn would increase the trade turnover between the two countries and increase tourist flows in both directions. Unfortunately, at present, all the reached agreements on the above-mentioned issues are temporarily delayed due to COVID-19, but the Embassy of Armenia will pursue the implementation of all these agreements once the COVID-19 subsides," said the Ambassador.
