Judge Anna Danibekyan denies motion to recuse herself

Judge Anna Danibekyan refused to recuse herself from the criminal case involving Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan and former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, denying a defense motion.

The motion for recusal of the judge had been filed by their lawyers, Hovhannes Khudoyan and Alexander Kochubaev, at a court hearing on Tuesday, Kocharyan’s legal team said.

“The judicial act is not subject to appeal and comes into force from the moment of its publication,” it added.
