Armenian weightlifters won medals at the World Weightlifting Championships

Armenian weightlifters Varazdat Lalayan and Gor Minasyan claimed medals at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent.  

Lalayan, competing in the super heavy weight class, claimed silver medal, scoring a total of 457 kg, while Minasyan became bronze medalist of the Championship with 448 kg result. 

Lalayan also took small gold in the snatch. Georgia's representative Lasha Talakhadze named world champion in the mentioned weight category.
