Armenia confirms 156 new Covid cases in 24 hours

Armenia has confirmed 156 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 343,506 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18, the Ministry of Health reports.

Overall, 6,549 Covid-19 tests were conducted on December 17.

511 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 328,050.

The Covid-19 death toll has increased by 8 to 7,893. The figure does not include the deaths of 1,491 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

Armenia now has 6,072 active cases. As many as 2,485,938 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
